The pictures on CR seem to confirm that it's actually a 5d3, and not a 5dx?

The OP has confirmed the name to be 5DX, not 5D III. All subsequent evidence and facts to the contrary shall be summarily dismissed and disposed in the same rubbish heap as the so-called evidence that the earth is any other shape but flat. Now, can we please get back to whining about the woeful shortcomings of the 5DX II?

If it's on the Internet then it's real.

There's been no confirmation from the only source that matters.

Yes, so in cases like this, one should not use words like confirmed. And while it IS possible the leaked pictures are fake, I doubt that, they certainly look more legit than what some random site is confirming.

Yeah, these sites using that word are asking trouble. As are anyone not taking a "confirmed" rumor with a grain of salt. If you're not here for fun you're doing it wrong. Amirite?

Right you are! I've heard of Ammonites and Amorites, but never an Amirite...till now. :)

You are indeed, sir! I must admit I posted the link to the leaked pictures in this thread to troll the OP a bit (for using the "c" word), no hard feelings :p

None taken. I was just regurgitating what the site had posted :)

Ha Ha...... $4200.00 for the body only. Pfffffft,,,,,,,,Good luck finding a 1DMKIV......Cold day in hell before i would pay $4200.00 for a 5D3. I dont think the 5D3 can fill the void in the $4500.00 price category that canon has dropped the ball on-------if this is true,,so glad i bought the 1DMKIV.

I think that's $4200 in AUS dollars. You can probably trade them 16 healthy kangaroos for one too.

Just heard the Nikon D8000 will accept crop and FF lenses. Of course it will only use part of the sensor with crop lenses, but with that many megapixels it'll still be more than enough. If Canon is doing something like that, the OP could be closer to the truth than some seem to think...
