Can't really tell all that much from my iPad but they look similar and if the D800 is a 100%, and I guess it is, then given the sensor size, that's damn impressive.

How long does it take for Nikon to update their refurb prices. The new cost less than the refurb models still...

I don't know but Canon did it almost instantly. After taxes from their site it might be cheaper to buy it (D700?) elsewhere.

Is one allowed to sell their Nikon gear here in the buy/sell threads?

Yes.

Ok, thanks. I'm not sure what happened to eBay and Paypal lately, but my how things have changed over there. Their % fees are way too high, plus you get a double whammy since you're basically 2 high fees to the same company. Plus Paypal seems to hold payments for 3-4 weeks now...

If you start doing high volume through Paypal and have a clean Paypal record they don't hold it. My money is always available immediately when selling.

Also fredmiranda.com is a better place to sell because there will be more Nikon shooters looking there and they do higher volume. Of course the fee is like $25/year, I don't remember the exact amount.

ebay payment holds happen for various reasons, such as account type, shipping method and type of items sold.

Fees are not that bad compared to sites such as Amazon. I do like selling through amazon.com sometimes tho. People tend to pay more for items on amazon and its easier to list. Also amazon.com takes care of the customer service.

for ebay, my experience is that if you sell hotter items like electronics, a hold might occur. sometimes other holds happen when you ship something without tracking.

Yes, but only if you send it to me first so i can spiritually cleanse it of its taint and darkness

^What he said. I've never successfully sold Nikon gear on here, though I've listed it often. FM, on the other hand, has been a very good Nikon sales outlet for me.

I will probably post on both forum when I sell my D700. Good to know there is a popular place to sell Nikon gear!

Ok cool. I rather pay $25 than the fees eBay and Paypal would charge me.

Oh wow. Looks like the DR (or better) of the D7000 + better noise control than the D700. That DR really shows up in shadow behaviour at high ISO. I may have to rob a damn bank and buy a D800 after all.
