Did you use any other programmes other than SFX Pro?

Nope...

#1 took some additional massaging via Control Points (about a dozen or so IIRC)
#2 needed some clicking on different color filters to get the badges to read well
#3 was one click on Modern -> High Structure (Harsh) and Robert is your Father's Brother! :D

Have any of you noticed severe artifacting when using Silver Efex Pro II? I was processing a shot for printing 48" x 48" and man it was coming out ugly!

no, I haven't noticed anything - but then I don't get 48 x 48" prints!

You can even notice it at smaller resolutions. Here's the file I'm printing (wife is re-doing the living room - there goes the 200 2L... :) )

It depends on the filter and the picture. I have seen some really severe artifacts using the Antique plate filters or the yellowed filters especially in areas with little contrast and dark.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Structure is a slider best used in moderation...

In both SFX and Viveza, Structure appears to be quite destructive when pushed too hard.

I think I used the Fine Art preset and then reduced the brightness from there. I ended up doing a conversion on the mountains in CS5 and masked them in over the Silver Efex processed sea and pilings.
