agreed - surely wifi is good enough? and lol

I seem to have built a nice little list of WiFi I've begged & borrowed so I'm normally covered wherever I go... need to make sure I copy them to the new toys

A chum of mine sold his iPad 1 for £280 last week.

Mmmm that's good to know - maybe there's life in the ol' Pad yet! :D

Saying that, I really am not interested in Apple TV though for some reason, has anyone got one?

I have one and I thinks it's pretty good - works without any hassle and it's fun to airplay stuff from your iPhone/iPad to the telly too (especially pics)

i just couldnt justify two contracts (if that's how it works?)

Get one with a pay as you go sim then you'll only pay for what you use Mat.

It is yes, that reminds me of one other good thing, my iPhone is on O2 and my iPad is on Vodafone, so when one network is down or poor the other is usually still good to go.

Anke, Is it possible to use the 02 sim card in the iPad? I've got quite a good data package and it would be handy if I could use the iphone sim in the iPad as and when needed.

I haven't tried but I suppose you could. It's worth a try later or a google I reckon.

As long as it's not locked to a network it will, that's if the sim's are the same size as I know the iPad uses a mini sim not sure what the iPhone uses as I don't have one.

Thanks. Neither devices are locked down to a network, quick google and some people say its fine other say they have been cut off after a month :D so I might not take the risk
