Default Advice for last minute concert shoot

Hi everyone. You guys/gals have been very good with advice and questions I have had in the past and I say thank you! I wanted to get one more piece of advice here. I have been approved to shoot a show in a few days at a pretty popular venue. I got explicit permission from both the headliner management AND the opener management via e-mail. I was told to email headliner management few days prior to and they'll get me a photo pass per their words. I did that but have not heard anything back. In case I never hear anything back, do I just show up at the box office with e-mails and ask for road manager or what? I realize I may not get in, but have really tried hard for this show for a very long time and would be very bummed if I cannot shoot. Regardless, I will be there as a paid attendee and will enjoy the show either way but have been wanting to shoot these bands for along time!
What say ye? Thanks guys!

Depends on what the emails say.

They say "Yes you definately can shoot the band,no problems" I have had this before where I got permission but no pass and took the emails in with me, when security swarmed me like the SWAT team and pulled me aside during the show and wanted nothing to hear from me, I kept telling them waving the e-mails in their face that I had permission from the management and these explicitly said so. They eventually settled down and let me back in but only after missing one song out of my 3. In short, I am looking to avoid this situation again if at all possible

Then bring the emails to will call or where ever you would pick up your photo pass. Security usually doesnt care about emails. They will tell you to take it up with whoever handles them.

Walk up to the window, hand them your ID and ask for your photo pass. When they say they dont have you down for one, whip out the email. They will usually call in to the tour manager to deal with it.

Much better chance than arguing with a security guy.

Cosmo-Cool. That's kinda what I was searching for. Since posting my original post, I got a reply back from the manager and supposedly will be left a photo pass at the will call window. Time will tell! I am pretty psyched as one, I've never really shot here unless you call a rogue P&S "shooting" and it's a band I really enjoy so it's a win-win situation. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I agree that arguing with security is a moot point and pretty much gets you nowhere!
