Default Noisy Landscape Images from a Novice

Hello Friends of the POTN,
I have been starting to take pictures of sunsets recently. I use live view and Manual mode to take my shot. I made sure my ISO is ALWAYS at 100. After loading the results onto my computer, I saw that all the shots were sort of grainy. Am I doing something wrong here?
I shoot landscapes with JPEG by the way.

Thank you,
Mek

If your exposure is correct (which is hard to do with the large amount of dynamic range in a sunset) and your exposures arent terribly long (60+ seconds), I wouldnt expect to see much noise at all with ISO 100 from any camera.

Did you try to push the exposure up in post processing at all? Can you post an example?

OH! Got it, maybe yes I did. I used the aperture auto correct option maybe it pushes exposure up. Never knew that it causes noise.

Noise can occur from underexposure or overexposure, even at ISO 100. When you have a very large dynamic range as you typically do with sunsets or sunrises, you'll need to use a graduated neutral density filter to pull back the highlights and allow proper exposure of the foreground, or take two exposures (one for highlights, one for shadows) and blend them afterwards. And expose to the right.

Thank you for your tips! I will surely try them in my next outing.
