The 2011 Coronado Speed Festival workers came from all over the southwestern US to enjoy waterfront racing in perfect weather.


The bridge made for some great angles for the photographers


Cleaning up a water discharge across turn 1


Pulling the crunched 1964 Cobra to safety


Rebuilding the tire wall moved by the Cobra


Taking a quick break between groups


At the ready with a view of the San Diego Bay

A little reminder of why the Orange Army are so important, if they don't volunteer, racers can't race and we can't enjoy watching them. In this incident, Michael Rutter receives immediate attention after tangling with Josh Brookes going through Hall Bends at Cadwell's BSB round last year.

Nice series about "Us guys"... As an aside with nothing to do with photography, I'm surprised most of these folks are only using single layer Nomex... I'm always working the track and not getting photos.......
