Default Moon and Mercury rising over Brisbane CBD

Hi all,

Here is the crescent Moon (5% illuminated) and Mercury (to the right of the Moon) rising over Brisbane this morning, viewed from Mt Coot-tha. I took and image every 3 minutes, beginning at about 4:15am, and then stacked them.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thank you for getting up so early for our viewing pleasure. That's a very nice result.

Thanks Dave and texasphotog.

This image has just been featured on NASA's "Astronomy Picture of the Day" website for 26 April 2012!

That's a first for me.
