Can I use the Sigma 10mm f/2.8 fisheye lens on my Canon 40D? And also is this lens the "Circular" effect lens?

It will work very well on your 40D. I'm not sure what you mean by circular effect, but surely you can see the effect in the images in this thread. You'll get what you see here on your 40D.

I just got my mine today delivered to me at work. There goes the concentration!!! I can't wait to go out on my lunch break to test it out. I will post some pictures later. My first impression is that the lens is built like a tank and focuses real fast and quiet.

I need to know the sigma 10mm fisheye 2.8 lens is better for canon 5d mark ii or sigma 15mm fisheye 2.8 lens ?,
I need a great distortion on my images . so help me to choose which lens I should buy.? .
pls reply,

Below is a pic I took on a 35mm camera and the black frame is typical of what you can expect with the 10mm on the 5dmkii.

I would not even consider buying the Sigma 10mm if I had a 5d.

If you have a 5d and you want a circular fisheye, get the Sigma 8mm fisheye.
If you have a 5d and you want a full frame fisheye, get the Sigma 15mm.
If you have a 5d and want both a circular and full frame fisheye, get the Canon 8-15mm.

Just my $0.02

And WKU Baseball game. On a full frame (my Elan II I believe) to show the massive vignetting and that pesky hood.

harrisa is right, the Sigma 10mm is designed for APS-C sensors. I also agree with his suggestions, although the Canon 15mm is every bit as good as the Sigma 15mm. The new Canon 8-15L is the best of all worlds (especially if you also have an APS-C body). I have one and it's great.

here's from the same spot @47mm.

Had the fisheye upside down on the ground with my left hand and a 17-55 in the other.
