Default Single Point AF - who doesn't use it?

Early on, I learned to use single-point AF when shooting concerts. Whenever I tried using multi-point AF, the AF points would always lock onto a guitar neck, mic stand, hi-hat, etc....anything other than the face of the person I was trying to shoot. So I've been using single point AF ever since and I'm happy with it.

So now I have a 5D Mk III with an advanced 61-pt AF system and I'm still using single point. Seems like a waste but it works for me. Does anyone here use multi-point AF when shooting concerts? I'm just wondering if I've been doing something wrong all along.

i think that multipoint would work better for birds in flight, or other subjects that are isolated but are in well-lit areas that have good contrast.

i'll stick to single use for now
