Default Unimog museum

Most people have heard of the Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes Benz museums in southern Germany, but there is also a museum for the incredible Unimog product just outside of Karlsruhe. (click for larger)

My favorite photo of my visit was one of a little kid looking up at the Unimog demo truck while it drove around the "obstacle" course behind the museum.

The museum itself contains exhibits and information on several Unimog products and their collective history as well as the outdoor track that showcases the technical prowess of these machines.

Overall a worthwhile visit. The museum is tiny -- probably not much larger than the size of an American football field -- but for people who love heavy equipment, it's a must-see!

Nice shots!

Would certaily be an interesting place to visit. For the severe offroad capable big trucks, Unimog and Tatra are my to favourites!
