In the weeds at Ridgefield NWR



I've never really looked closely at one of these guys - very interesting.

Good shots. For all these are common, they do have amazing colours.

Jim - what I don't know about birds would fill two Audubon books. But I think this guy was just wet. It had been raining, heavy at times, for a couple of days.
