Default Nikon 17 PC-E, 10mm f4, 16-30 f4-5.6, and 28 f1.4.

According to the rumor, Nikon has filed patents for some new lenses.

Could be interesting. Although you never know if patented products will get made. Sometimes it's just to stop competitors (i.e. canon) from using a similar lens formula.

Nikon needs a 17 PC-E and a revamp on the 24 PC-E.

The Canon 17TS-E is why I stay with Canon. Had Nikon introduced this before Canon I would be singing the Nikon tune these days.

Amen! Will be hanging on to my 5d II till they do just that. Whenever they get around to even one of those two, I'll finalize the move to Nikon. Great news though, it makes so much sense for Nikon to get competitive with tilt-shifts now that they have the perfect camera for it (D800).

Yup! Great minds think alike. That's why we both shoot Canon and Nikon.

Why not just adapt the Canon TS-E to the D800?
Is that doable?

Not without a WHOLE LOT of machining or using an optical solution that pretty much destroys the IQ. Definitely not worth the effort, unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE a 17mm T/S.

Well I guess people should now start "nagging" Nikon to *finally* produce a 17mm PC-E lens.
Or people can just continue using their Canon lenses on Canon bodies.
Consider this round a slap on Nikon's face...
