Hello every one, a few more from my recent trip to parts of the Potomac River recently
Beautiful Place, but they all are huh? I had gotten too close to a nest that was on top of a duck blind, scared Mom, never saw her until it was too late, I don't think Dad was happy, sorry there Dad, Mom ![]() On watch, a beautiful Osprey ![]() This is noisy I agree but not too bad......? lol, hope not anyhow. A sequence of this Baldie taking off when we were getting close, 7:30 in the morning on a beautiful day, I changed wb a bit on each one. exif says infinity but it was 100 yds or so ![]() ![]() ![]() Not my best work, next time will be better, hope you like them

Hey Bret, love the osprey, great shots and he is a beautiful specimen. The eagles are good shots of classic eagle poses, maybe a bit underexposed, or need a bit more contrast? But to me, any classic eagle shot is a good eagle shot and I enjoyed them a lot. You seem to have no trouble getting close to all these magnificent birds.

Maybe you say they are not your best, but they are still enjoyable to look at and I for one am glad you shared. I love the shots of Baldie as he is about to take off. Very cool poses!

Very nice work Brett with the distance, I have a hard time seeing 100 yards

Thanks everyone, very much appreciated.
As far as the distance, I guessed at 100 yds. but here is the original just cropped and minimal work. this was at 800mm. ![]()

Spot on, as always, Bret; the osprey shots are spectacular, in particular.

You're definitely getting the Osprey evil eye there Bret. You had some sweet light with the eagles and I love the second to last shot. Great shooting as always.

The detail you retain at that crop level is amazing. |
