Any recommendations for exposure settings. I plan to shoot the Sarasota skyline (if you can call it that) with the moon. Distance to skyline from tripod is approx 2km. Shooting 40D with Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Thanks all!

I am still very new, only shot the moon once so far. But I do believe it will differ for everyone depending on the forground background and what all is in your scene. It may require multiple exposures and blending in post. I know one thing I will be shooting in RAW just in case I need to do a bit more editing.

It was a great moonrise here in Atlanta. There was just a whiff of clouds in the sky. Sunday night might be also good...which much greater chance of some rain clouds.
