It's not a 4x4; but it still rocks! 2002 Silverado with 250K miles on it now!
This picture is from Death Valley, but it's been with me to every national park in the southwest!

This was made in 2005, north of Parachute, Colorado in the spring. ATV's were slipping and sliding going up the hills on the 'road' while the Wrangler ran around without a problem. Gotta love mudders. This spot was about the only place I could get out without being in foot deep mud.

Still have the Jeep.

I was catching crap from all my coworkers and friends and almost didn't want to drive out and shoot. And it wasn't the hybrid one....went through 2+ tanks of gas in two weeks.

Whenever possible I take my SL500 (and do a lot of hikes to carry the equipment), but If I expect the roads to require more clearance between my rump and the road I have to borrow my wifes Lexus RX300.

Not mine, but this is what I consider to be the perfect vehicle for a wilderness photographer...a Unimog. Saw this one in Capitol Reef about five years ago. It will go almost anywhere, comfortably. The snorkel on the engine allows it to ford water four feet deep.

For me it's a 2000 Subaru Forester. I'm also bit of a car guy so this car will eventually have a few fun changes. This is what it currently looks like though.

Don't judge the photos too much, I was "test shooting" and plan on using this spot on a sunny day for my girlfriend's new GTI. :)
