Cactus Flower ID - Cumberland Island

My wife and I were hiking on Cumberland Island, Georgia back in April and came across this flowering cactus amidst the sand dunes. I'm pretty weak in botany department and was hoping somebody could provide an ID:

Looks like a prickly pear to me.

. If I'm not mistaken I believe the Prickly Pear is fairly common across the U.S.?

Thanks Rick - we don't see too many of those in the Midwest

My wife and I had taken the ferry over to the island and by the time we'd hiked to this point is about midday and harsh overhead sun... not my type of illumination. I was shooting wide angle stuff too and had the 17-40 with a CPL on a 5D. You work with the tools you have.
