Custom function settings, or basic exposure/AF settings? Either way, a quick search yields tons of results.

Mk4 is different beast then any previous series 1 body. This means, it's AF system works completely different then what we were used before. This also mean old settings, we were using without problems for 10+ years with previous EOS 1 bodies (including film 1v) are more or less useless.
With mk4 you need to set camera for specific sport, and same settings won't work, or at least won't give best results with every sport. Personally I have two batches of settings, one for sports like skiing, and other for team sports like ice hockey, basketball, soccer, handball etc. They are not all that different, but different enough, that camera feels like AF is not working if you use wrong set for wrong sport.
For basketball basically you watch out for CfnIII-2 (I have it set for fast, while with skiing for example, I use it on Slow or 1 faster) and CfnIII-8 (for team sports, I don't want assistant points next to selected AF point). Other then that, I have also CfnIII-3 set to 2, CfnIII-4 set to 1, CfnIII-11 set to 2, and CfnIII-16 set to 1. But these ones are same for all sports. There's few other ones, but they are more or less personal preference, and have nothing to do with focus.
