ISO 4000, no flash. I could never pull this off with my camera. I also shot this from the stands and he was two lanes over.

Damn that is nice. Did he make you shoot RAW? Don't tell me these are JPGS straight out of the camera. :)

No 300,,,a 200-400f4 beast. And actually yes, straight out of the camera as a Jpeg with a slight touch of the sharpen button,,that's it!

Now imagine if BDW would have used a D3s instead of a D3. Results would be mind blowing. If I had to give up my 1D3's that would be the only camera I would subtitute in.

It was a Honda CR480r two stroke. With no flywheel. It was like a 125 with 50hp.

Cheers... jim

Well I hope you get it worked out when you get it back from Canon. I've had the best results with spot af. Most of the time when I get a shot that missed focus, it was my fault. Not saying that is your issue, just mine from time to time. I also had to slow down the speed of the AF as well so it would not jump around too quickly.

I use spot af and spot af w/expansion too. I did slow down the af in the Cf menu but it did not help. When i would play back my images on the screen, the red box would be on the correct subject just like i wanted it yet something else in the shot would be in focus. This occured on any lens. After i get it back from canon, i will micro adjust if needed. It just seem WAY off to me.

Canon 7d kit lens 28-135mm, 70-200f4, 50mm 1.8, Rokinon 8mm, Tokina 11-16mm, 430 Flash and Zeikos Grip.

I had a cr480 when I was about 15. Thing was a widow maker. Felt like riding a light switch. Sad part was it was almost older than me. I loved it till it went out in a blaze of glory in the mountains of Colorado.

You are absolutely right. It had a Light Switch power band.
