Cake smash photoshoot - any tips for sharing?

Hi all,

We will be doing one for our second daughter next week, just wondering any of you have done it for your kid and are there any tips you want to share?

We are just planning to setup a white seamless with 1 main and 1 BG light and that's it.

White seemless is ok, but for $2 at the dollar store, you could add a colorfully background of balloons. If you can use a sheet of plexiglass it helps as well....and oh ya, big brightly colored cake!

great tips for the ballon ideas, do you mind sharing how you are stick those ballon as BG? double-sided tape?

plexiglass on floor, will it be too cold as my studio is in basement?

Regular tape rolled up or double sided.
