Default Al Qaeda Bombmaker Designs Bombs to Hide in Cameras, Hard Drives and Pets

hmmm...Cameras, this isn't good. I flew a few times with my cat, I remember in Paris they ran him thru the X-ray machine.

U.S. authorities tell ABC News that al-Asiri's latest designs involve bombs surgically implanted in terrorists, as well as bombs hidden in pets to be carried on aircraft, cameras, and external hard drives that would explode when plugged into a laptop computer.

Yeah, hopefully this won't mean more privacy erosion. The only place I fly to is Alaska, otherwise not worth it due to hassle heh.

I'd rather have non-invasive more risky travel and not spend my life worrying about that kind of stuff, go back to the security we had in the 90's. There's risks everywhere, wish we wouldn't spend so much of our money worrying about things like this.

Sad that there is still so much violence, even in the 21st century (not placing any blame, taking sides on any politics here, etc). That someone would plant a bomb in a pet just makes me ashamed of humanity.

Great now our camera gear will be put under great scrutiny when we fly.

what's to stop one of these goof balls from having a timed explosive device surgically implanted?

Your right, we will have to mail our camera gear to our destination. Sad times we are in.

Does seem a bit extreme just to kill a little kitten.

Expect human, pet, and child bombs .. as well as cameras, lens, and photo bags.
Lamps, bras, checked baggage, aircraft parts, food medicine, etc. etc.
Non stop Military, War, Terror, CounterTerror escalation until end of world.
It is the worlds #1 job and economic provider.
Political and Religous statements are just a small part of this industry.

I believe it was Gandhi who said " a society is judged by how it treats animals". Nuff said on any society who would even consider such a henious act.

If I see someone bringing a "guide pig" on plane I'll get off.

What make you think you can send it if our government decides to ban cameras taken on a plane? This would make it easier for these radicals as they don't even have to be on board to set something off.

the only solution is a full MRI prior to boarding, and we fly naked while strapped to a porta potty - don't want naked people up and around on the plane. luggage will fly on cargo planes. if naked doesn't work, TSA could come supply us with those stylish hospital gowns and a bed pan.

These bombs are made to kill scores of PEOPLE and you're upset they're putting them in animals? sounds a little backwards to me...

Bombs can be put in almost anything, I'm sure with the size of todays smart phones, someone could hollow one out and put an explosive inside big enough to take down a plane, maybe they should ban those too. It's just getting out of hand, the media coming out and saying these things isn't needed, of coarse you could surgically implant a bomb inside a person or cat, or put one in a camera or electronic device, anything! This sounds like scare tactics and a flat out attempt to take more of our rights and privacy away.
