Haha... Actually, home access gets us out of the office earlier. That's why we have it.

Hmmm. Didn't even think about trying this at the college.

Wow... I'm on a pretty remote island in the Bahamas, and I at least have DSL - we just got ours hooked up last Monday, just a week after arriving. It's not nearly as fast as the Comcast cable internet I had in Denver, but it's acceptable, especially since I have plenty of time on my hands. My biggest issue is looking at the Lens Archives because each page takes up to 5 minutes to load. Too many overly large images.

Hmmm. My page loads aren't THAT slow... DSL should be a lot faster than satellite. You might want to contact your provider.

It's the location, not the technology. It's what we have available at the time. I consider it fortunate that we have anything at all, sitting here in our beach home almost a mile from the main road.

We are in the process of getting satellite TV, but that's a project too, and it's taking a long time and a lot of money. We have to have at least a 4 foot dish to get any signal at all, and a 6 foot dish to get HD. That is supposed to change over the next year with a new satellite launch, but only time will tell. We have cell service too, but we have to walk to the top of the hill behind our house to get reception. The hill blocks our house from the tower.
