IMO, you can always visit Yosemite Valley, but the high country (Tuolumne/Tioga Pass) is were it "is". Since the high country was recently open for the season, make sure you take a day (or two) there. :)

FWIW, there's a new webcam: Yosemite Falls Webcam (external link)

I don't have the 10-22mm, the widest that I have is the 17-40. I would say most of my Yosemite shots were taken with my 70-200 f/4L. :)

whoops didn't see this...

We have them on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - from 830-10AM. Totally free but we have a limit of 15. Maybe a mile around the meadow. Flat, paved trails.

There are campgrounds outside the park at nearby Lee Vining. Here's a link showing Inyo National Forest Campgrounds (external link).

I'd suggest you sign up for the photo walks if you can, usually some cool info. I've been shooting a long time and get some pretty neat park info with those walks -I'll be there between the 16th & 26th. May see ya there
