Well what do you expect? We all have to wait for those corrupted Olympus executives to gather enough dirty money before they can pay for the R&D of such an excellent OM-D.

See, crime does pay.

Ordered a EM-5. Couldn't help it. Damn it.

Should slot nicely between my 24L and 70-200. If 3 foot prints look nice, I may sell my 24L also.

Really interesting in upgrading my EP-2 to the EM-5, anyone else gone from a PEN to the new OM-D?

I just ordered one as well.

I've been trying to get my wife into interchangeable-lens photography for a while now, but she complained even the Rebel XTi/15-85IS combo was too big and heavy for her.

She went back to point-and-shoots, but really wanted to take shallow-DOF shots. She tried the 85/1.8 (whose size and weight she found acceptable), but kept runnning into camera shake in lower-light settings. (She won't touch my 100L IS or 17-55IS because they were too big and heavy.)

The OM-D (with in-body IS) and the tiny Olympus 45/1.8 may turn out to be what she's been looking for. Heck, with the OM-D having better DR and cleaner ISO3200 than my 7D, I may end up using it as well....

Of course, right after I placed my order, Canon mirrorless rumours started to flow again...

^ order another then will you!!!

Yeah, my wife shot with my XSi for a while, especially with my 24L as she likes the thin DOF. I ended up selling it and she's just been using her iPhone since (and having a blast AND getting good shots). When I picked up the 14mm I got it with the GF3 to see if she'd like to try that. If not it'll go to my son (who's 4) but I'll try to get her to use the OM-D more. It's SO easy with the push AF/shooting and so small she's really got no excuses now.

Im seriously considering picking up an EM5. But im a complete noob when it comes to the M43 cameras. I know the M43 lenses are interchangeable between systems but if I were to pick up another say a GF lens would I lose certain feature like autofocus?

As long as the mount is m43 you will retain autofocus. I assume by GF lenses you mean Panasonic, Lumix lenses?

I finally taught Elias how to smile a bit more naturally:

Bella had a BLAST on the beach:

I LOVE the flip out LCD for shots like this, the camera is basically on the sand (then cropped to vertical in post):

I also have an updated X100 here now, borrowing it from a friend. It's MUCH better with the new update AF wise. Theres some things I love about the X100 and some I love about the OMD. With the 20 on the OMD they're so similar optically, even DOF wise I was shocked. I had to run the #s through a DOF calculator to double check.

I'm using a Lumix 20 f/1.7 on an Oly E-P3 and it AF's like normal.

The cool thing aboot the M43 system is that you can find some cool old cheap legacy glass that will work with adapters. You won't have AF with those lenses, but for $50 or so a pop compared to $400, it's a cheap fun tool to have in your bag.

yeah, those last three shots were all with the panasonic 20mm. It works fine, AF is a bit slow but it's the AF motor in that lens that's slow, it's also slow on a pani body, and my pani 14mm is fast on the OMD. As VI mentioned, you can use a TON of other glass as well via adapters, but those will be manual focus and aperture. But ANY MFT lenses work with all the electronics on any MFT body, four thirds actually works too with an adapter and keeps AF and aperture control.
