I have a question - I post my photos by linking them to my Smugmug (that is, I'm embedding a link using Smug's "share" features). Like this, for example:

IMAGE: http://mikester.smugmug.com/Events-Automotive/Long-Beach-Grand-Prix-2012/i-Qv8Gskt/0/L/20120414-IMG4708-L.jpg
IMAGE LINK: http://mikester.smugmug.com …112805&k=Qv8Gskt&lb=1&s=A (external link)

My question is if there is an easy way to have them show larger than shown above ? I'm already using the "large" option, which is the largest of the 3 choices (embeddable links for forums). As shown, they're not small but they don't quite fill the usable area.
Thanks !

Well, if you click on the pic you posted, the pic opens in SmugMug at a larger size, that may be as good as it gets for embedding here, I don't use SmugMug so I don't know.

You've set that gallery to have a largest possible link size of L (800x600 or so); set the Gallery size limit to XL and you'll get 1024x768, which is as large as you can get here (X2 will let you post max. size in Portrait orientation).

Important point Jon mentioned is that this site, POTN also has a max limit of size and therefore you can not link any size you want here. In reality this works well as proportion of images really in harmonious as is and if there is no size limit, then it gets hard to navigate for all.
I have set my monitors magnification at needed x so 800 is a perfect size for me.. This is done by using both fingers on mouse pad and moving them away from each other on my Dell laptop and I of course it is different for different brands.

If you copy the BBCode (for your photo, [URL=http://www.flickr.com/photos/79803386@N03/7314192236/][IMG]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7239/7314192236_76a544f78f_b.jpg[/IMG][/URL] (external link)
[URL=http://www.flickr.com/photos/79803386@N03/7314192236/]Miami (external link) Sky Line[/URL] by [URL=http://www.flickr.com/people/79803386@N03/]itsmekolla[/URL] (external link), on Flickr) from Flickr, you just paste it directly into your post where you want the picture to go. If you want to use the "Image" button, you need to copy just the URL for the photo (which will end in ".jpg", or http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7239/7314192236_76a544f78f_c_d.jpg, for your photo).

Check the Image Posting FAQ in my sig. My host allows me to specify the image size I want to share a photo at; alternatively you can use most any basic or advanced image editing program to resize on your computer (aleways do this by creating a new copy). Irfanview is a free and easy tool for this.
