I'm not sure it's a trend, or just laziness, but when someone spends hours shooting an event, and then batch processes everything in Lightroom so they all have the same settings.
How can every photo taken across the course of the day require the same adjustments? 99% of their photos look terrible, and the one they do manage to pull out off, they sprout on and on about it like it was some kind of planned shot, when clearly having one good shot out of a thousand means they got lucky.

Two more recent developments to add to my list of a year ago:
Nit-picking a photo that sold for $14 million. I say great! It raises the value of photos. Planting a subject in front of a white backdrop and calling it a high key shot. |

Oh I know a photographer who called a photo that sold for $5.1million (I think it was that much), and he called it "boring", to which I replied, it depends on the way you look at it, it may of emoted someone enough to buy that print for $5.1m or whatever it sold for

There's something ironic about that last post, but I can't quite put my finger on it

I'm getting tired of that muted/washed out/low contrast haze look (not sure what it's called). Sure it looks kinda cool on some photos but when it's done on ANYthing it just starts to get annoying!

All I can say is that Zuckerburg is a fool for paying so much for it!

This is a photography forum where anyone can post their photos, it's likely some photos will upset some people but you don't have to look at them.
