Default Inexpensive lighting kit for indoor quilt photography?

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a light kit to take indoor photos of quilts. I quilt professionally and need better lighting to get shots that show off the thread and quilting. Currently I try and disply the quilts on a stand at a 90 degree angle to a window, as side lighting brings out the definition and doesn't show a "flat" surface.

Can anyone recommend what type of lights and stands and how many (a kit would be fantastic) I'd do well with? Ideally I will stand in front of the quilt and take the shots head on.

Something amateur, I don't know much and don't have time to learn much either. Under $300 would be terrific!

TYIA for any suggestions.

For an amateur you sure have a lot of L glass!!

Since you don't have to worry about your subject moving, you don't need a flash to freeze any action, so you can do great with continuous lighting that is much cheaper..

Check out something like this:

Or better yet 2 of this:

Thank you so much! When I bought my first camera (Canon 10D) I really thought I'd get into photography more than I did. In the end, I'm happy just taking pictures of my crafts for my blog, but lighting is a huge issue.
