Thanks. Going to see if I can find a nice vantage point to see the eclipse over a vineyard.
We shall see. I'll also have to convince nine non-photographers that the side trip will be worth while.

I'm not sure what everyone else sees but I see green with a tiny hint of blue.

There is a legitimate blue cast in the whites of her eyes.. cant' tell if your original is that way, but it probably is... What happens is the whites pick up the blue in a scene if the color temperature is a bit cool, or if something blue is reflecting.. even your shirt could cause it.
It happens often and is definitely not uncommon. An easy fix is to just duplicate, cut the eyes to their own layer, and the do selective color in the white channel, move the cyan slider a bit. I usually use a Nic Filter.. if you have Color EFX, you can do what's called "White Neutralizer" use the eyedropper to select the blue in her eye and the filter will neutralize it to white for you. it will adjust that color in the entire image though, so a layer mask on everything but the eyes would be required. They eyes do look very processed to me also.. but I go for a more natural looking eye, unless it's oof and I'm desparately trying to salvage it.. lol. Hope that helps a bit.

Some folks have blue sclarea, this lady did not in the SOOC. My kid has blue sclarea, I change it though to white, as people assume it's a WB issue when it is not.
I like the processing, but that bit bugs me when looking at the image and is beyond the "art" element to me, YMMV

Alan: Let me know how you do with the welding glass. I bought a #14 glass (don't use less) to try and it really sucked. It seems fine with unaided eyes, but with binoculars, or my 100-400, it does not work. It will not focus at all. Not sure if it is the thickness, or a shift in wavelength that is out of range of the lens adjustment.

Gary, for the eclipse through the welding glass, I figured I'd have to go with manual focus anyway.
But I'll let you know how it goes anyway.
