You need an old canvas fill brush Jay!
The processing does a pretty good job of downplaying the plastic tarp.

Chief....I think I would be back to visit them tomorrow too. 1 failure you can swallow, but two in one day doesn't cut it.

Maybe a color replacement to an olive drab and some texture? That kind of surgery will have to wait until I get home.

Oh, and FWIW, my wife and I dated for five weeks before getting engaged. We moved in together and got married about a year later.
That was 17 years ago...

OD and texture might do it. Can totally see a period oilskin or canvas really making it pop.

The first tire I installed was the front one, and that's the one that failed on the ride. That's the one with the bead failure, and I know for a fact was properly mounted. My normal routine is to inflate the tire to about 75% of max, then let the air out to verify that everything is properly seated, then fully inflate the tire to the operating pressure. I did that on the front tire, but not on the rear, probably because it was really hot in the garage, and I was starting to hurry. It looked okay, so I went straight to 110 psi, and BANG!! Obviously the tube was pinched somewhere,

29er tires are fun too....dang things are so big that it is very easy to get a pinch without even suspecting it.

Sunburned and back from sailing around SF Bay on the Jeremiah O'Brien yesterday. Unfortunately, the Iowa did not go out - wave conditions off the California coast were not suitable for towing a Battleship. We did the cruise around the Bay anyway. This little guy followed us around all afternoon.
![]() More to follow when I have time. Finals week at work, graduation next Saturday, and I am going to pay dearly this week for playing all weekend. Sigh... |

Jay's strange friends are metal (for the most part), have engines, and can take you to far away places?
Or the warped, minded people on POTN? |

As for this whole dating thing... my parents totally disapproved of my then girlfriend (now wife). So we eloped 6 months later, then told people. Really pissed everyone off. We were 25 at the time. 9 years later, we're going strong and all those who hated us, now have learned to love us. We obviously aren't that bad for each other.
A huge thing is that we never just "settled" down though. We have spent those 9 years doing all kinds of stuff, moving around and constantly travelling. We waited on purpose to have a kid until now, so we could enjoy a bit of life and each other. Have learned a tremendous amount from one another, too. Very lucky, you could say, that we were willing to learn new things. She is a country gal, I am a city boy, so we had (and still do) have a huge number of differences when it comes to wanting to do things/opinions etc. It isn't always doom & gloom |
