Default 5D MKII for $1000 :(
Just called on a 5D MKII for $1000 I saw on CL. Of course my luck it was already sold. Guy sounded legit. It had under 3k shutter actuations. I felt bad calling at 12:30 at night but he laughed and said he's been getting lots of calls and emails.

This one hurts.

Sorry you didn't get in on the deal.

No offense, but this thread does not belong in the Market Watch forum. It's not a "good deal" that's going to help other Forum members. It's more or less "chit-chat" and should probably be in the POTN Lounge.

coz lots of people sell things at 1/3 of their value for no reason ...

When I spoke to the guy he did sound legit. He sounded like an older gentleman who maybe wasn't worried about making a $1. Can I say it was 100% legit? No, not 100%, but I'd definitely say 99%. I highly doubt it was stolen too. Usually CL scammers don't put 2 separate phone #'s to contact them, or provide a bunch of photos. Also, he even declined more money from me, I emailed him about 4 different times and he responded to each one say he was sorry, but both cameras were sold, (he was selling a 7D too)

Not everything is a scam.

Regardless, I didn't get it. and I had asked that this thread be closed or moved because I posted in wrong section.
