Default ND Fountain

Spent a couple of hours tonight playing with my ND4. This is straight out of the camera (except for resizing). 13sec., f22, ISO 400. On a side note, anyone know why I get a 10 point star effect on the street lights? C&C please.

Colors look a little washed out, and I think that has to do with photobucket, because the image looks much more vibrant in PS (I noticed this with another photo as well).

Nice. Did you try any other angles to reduce the impact of the street lights behind the fountain on the right?

Thanks.

The lights on the right are landscaping lights. This was the best angle for this fountain. This s alongside a busy road to the left, and a mega-retirement-condo complex on the right. Past the fountain is water.

Tonight was my first try at flowing water with the ND4. Took about 20 shots of the fountains before and after sunset. I liked this one the best. There may be better ones, but I won't really know until I do some PP.

This one runs a close second so far (again straight OOC). 30sec., f22, ISO 400

Actually the number of points you get has nothing to do with aperture size. It has to do with the number of blades that make up your aperture. This lens has 10 blades. A smaller aperture accentuates the effect.

First one is better. Would be even better if composed more carefully. I'd probably also try to edit those yellow lights away a bit.
