I think a 24L or 35L would be two great choices on FF.

I favor a wide-to-somewhat telephoto zoom for a walk-around street lens because I want to adapt to the given scene, rather than be dictated to by a particular focal length. That's how I roll.

My preference is for anything wide to standard, preferring one or the other without changing for a particular street session.

I personally use my 15-85mm, so as to get the full benefit of just about the whole range of focal lengths you put in the poll. My most-used range seems to be around 50mm, though.

135L.... I have 24mm and 50mm primes as well but the 135 just seems like so much more fun. I often also use my 24-105 which has a great range for street.

Just went visited NYC for a week and had the EF-S 17-55 and the 70-200 f/2.8 IS MK1 on me. I used the 17-55 90% of the time. I like getting a wider perspective when it comes to street photography. Definitely worth it to have a telephoto though for those occasional moments.

For street photography, i prefer 50mm F1.2 which is light weight and fast focus compare to 24-70 and 85mm. 85mm is also great lens for street photography but heavy and bulky.

I'll pick 50 but something with a zoom works wonders.
