Default Best voiceover microphone?

$200 budget. Best USB microphone for voiceovers (news packages, podcasts, etc.)?

How's this one look? http://www.amazon.com/Samson-SAC03UC...7919898&sr=8-2

Would I want to get it multi-pattern or not multi-pattern? Any accessories I'll want to get with it; pop filter recommended? Spidermount? What does the spider mount hook up with?

The Blue Yeti is about the most popular: LINK

Add on a pop filter: LINK and some sort of sound booth and it should be decent.

Personally for VO I use a Shure SM7B going into a Sound Devices 702 (which Ill probably be switching for a Sound Devices USBPre 2 for Vo stuff soon), but thats a bit higher than your listed budget.

If you ever get a chance to try out the EV RE-320 go for it, that is one sweet VO microphone and it's a little over one hundred less than the RE-20.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Does this one seem good to you? http://www.amazon.com/Samson-SAC03UC...7919898&sr=8-2

Would I want to get a mic that is multi-pattern or not multi-pattern?

Also, what is the purpose of a spider mount?

I was in bands before I was into photography/video. Because of this I've always used the Shure SM58 for voiceovers. Granted it's not USB but it's a great sounding mic for the price. (And a lot of pros use it too!)

It's definitely a great mic! I'm getting an SM58 that's included in a lavalier mic kit. But right now, I'm trying to buy a USB Condenser mic. Does the one I posted look good? Should I get the multipattern version?

The Samson is pretty popular too, but if it were me Id still go with the Blue Yeti. Though I havent owned either, from what I have read and heard online the Yeti is about the best bang for the buck out there for a USB mic.

The Shure SM58 and the EV RE50 are probably the most popular standup interview microphones in use nowadays, thay both have great sound are quite rugged and very inexpensive.

I have a Blue Yeti and it is AMAZING! You can get them at Tiger Direct for $79 when they run them on 1 day sales! The quality of the audio is GREAT! Here is a link to me using it with my wife: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2835567014673

For voice overs only a single pattern will be used anyway. If you want the mic to be used for other things you can get a multi pattern. Although usually single pickup pattern mics are better quality.
