Sigma AF 50mm f/2.8 EX DG macro worth buying?

Hi all I currently have an MP-E as my only macro lens, I love it but I need other lens that can allow me to get a bigger frame to fit larger insects. As of today I only own Canon lens and I was planing on getting a 100mm L macro, however I found a Sigma AF 50mm f/2.8 EX DG macro for 200 dollars. Is it worth it? Are sigma good lens? Thanks for advice

I had a Sigma 50mm (was shooting on a Pentax back then) for a long time before switching to Canon, and I loved it! It took a teleconverter very well, was always tack sharp, and had a pretty reasonable working distance. I think it was quite comparable to my current EF-S 60mm.

I have it, but haven't honestly had much shooting experiences with it. First tests were impressive though, I especially like it on FF.
Got it as a replacement for the Tokina 35mm macro that was my favorite on crop.
