Right now I use all the lenses I have. Can't really pick a favorite. I love a telephoto when I'm trying to get action shots, but the 18-55 and the 50mm are great for if the dog is laying down or not moving much. Eventually I want to get rid of the 28-135 and go for the 18-135, or the 18-200 so I can keep a good range without having to switch lenses all the time.

35L on FF. I like to be close enough to interact with the dog while shooting.

It varies SO MUCH depending on the situation, 50mm 1.8 is my go to, but I often have to switch to my 28mm 1.8 or my 8-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS depending on the situation (indoors vs outdoors, distance to the pet etc)

I like the 50mm because half of what the client is paying for is my ability to work with their animal, I find it helps to get to know them, work with them, and be close-ish to them and the 50 lets me do this.
