I've found that for the most part, PB only works well for flowers and animals with long(ish) hair. Here are a few I did recently from my wife's garden. Your comments?

Jason and Ron; both great edits. I think these types of shots are where PB is actually useful. I can see these hanging in a home/gallery.

Thanks Hinson,

I agree with Ron, the trees tend to look nice after running through pixelblender.

QUOTED IMAGE

With the exception of this photo, this filter does not play well with humans. :)

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

Agreed; that is what I was saying earlier. It works great with flora and with long(ish)hair on animals and in some cases humans. But with humans, it tends to really mess with skin so that has to be masked out before applying the filter.

I found a great example here (http://www.photoshopgurus.com …ush-pixel-bender-way.html (external link))

The background and hair were run through PB and then the face was worked with the mixer brush in PS. Came out fairly well.
