North Fork Payette Championship, Kayaking

Last weekend north of Banks, Idaho....Some of the top paddlers in the world. Local boy Ryan Casey took it all though! Posted these in a couple other threads but not really sports minded threads...I thought I would share here as well. Sorry if you've seen them.

Great images on a great stretch of white water. I can not imagine racing through that stretch. I found it hard enough just getting down it (years ago)!

THanks for the comments guys...this is my favorite river to paddle. wcpeabody, no doubt! I have only thought of racing on the lower, when I run the rest, it is not to see how fast I can get down. I catch a lot of eddies. This was through Jacob's ladder and golf course! If you remember, that is the burliest section! Flow was about 2600, this equals stout!

I remember it pretty well. We were at lower water the times I have done it. I remember once a buddy swam in Gold and we had to chase his boat with a car it was moving so fast.
