TheBogart - How did you process that? It's a look I've wanted to achieve for a while now, but I've yet to achieve that up until now.

I just used Snapseed In my iPad..

Damn.

Oh well, I suppose I've kind of figured it out now, in theory at least.

Desaturate, bump the brightness by a fair amount (not exposure), resaturate only a couple of colours a bit (i.e blue, green, et cetera), play around with the white balance a bit to make it as neutral as possible, use split toning with a platinum-gold'ish tone, increase the clarity and contrast by a fair amount, maybe play with the blacks a bit, dependant on the situation, and so on and so forth.

And of course local masks, again dependant on the situation.

I am speaking in terms of LR/ACR controls because ACR is what I use (and LR uses the same engine and a very similar interface).

Man, has it been a long time! I've been focussing heavily on my music career as of late and I haven't gotten out to shoot for half a year, but managed to squeeze in a shoot this morning. I forgot how much of a stress reliever it can be!

This thread and forum helped me to take the plunge and pick up a 5D a month or so ago. Thanks to all.

I love the way you use dutch angle. Have you got any advice on how to fast figure out which way and by how much to tilt (before the moment passes) or do you just see it in your minds eye? I'm very impressed. :)

Don't know about him, but in my case it's not a conscious thing, just a quick framing of what would make the best composition and then a snap. It really comes with practice.

I'd imagine it's not very different for him, but I could be wrong.
