I've just bought a spyder4express and run through the calibration procedure twice with very similar results (which is good). However, I notice that on some photos, bright greens tend to look too bright and bordering on fluorescent. Also, I don't know if its my eyes playing tricks on me, but after calibration I thought I could see a slight cool tint to my monitor; if I turn calibration off it becomes reddish. I've looked at the samples the software provides at the end of calibration and they all look great, I've looked at websites that try to help with calibration, but they only seem to offer things like gamma, contrast etc..., not really colour.
So my question is, how do I know if the device has done its job properly? Thanks |

Send a print to a pro lab, if the colors look the same in the print then it worked. Remember that backlit monitors and front lit prints will always look a little different.
