So if you go all primes like. 21, 35, 50, 85, 135 then both your full frames and crop frame is are all set since the turn into 33.6, 80.6, 137.5, 217.7 along with 53.6. ( from the 35mm). So add two your FF holy trinity and you get a great trinity for th CF body as well.

Good thread. I was wondering what lens next to go with.

I'll get a 21mm and then the 85mm

I've gone with 24L II/35L/85L II/100L/135L. I can't believe the tac sharp pictures, contrast and saturation. I thought the 24-70 was sharp. The 70-200L II is close, but I'm a prime convert.

i'd be nice to just have all 6..... the holy sextuplet =)

You can't use the words "holy" and "sex" in the same sentence. Not unless you're presbyterian.

I have the 24LII / 50L / 85LII

I had the 35L and 135L as well, but sold the 135L as I found I didn't use it much at all after getting the 70-200LII

As for the 35L, it was a nice lens IQ wise, but the length was just bleh and boring for me. I prefer the pop of the 50, or the dynamism of a wider 24

^^^^^^^

I'm with sol95.

I have the 24/50/85 and for me it's a perfect combo on FF and 1.3 crop. I had the 135 and as good as it is, it did nothing for me so I sold it when I got the 70-200II and 100 macro as they're so much more versatile and compliment my three fast primes perfectly.

I've had many trios over the years.

The one I have right now isn't necessarily my ideal choice, but it is fun.

20 2.8 / 35L / 135L

I find it interesting to hear those comment that they find the 35L and 135L boring, I respect the opinion, I just find it surprising.
