Very nice, I've tried this a few times now. Most of the time its been too bright and clipping highlights.
Good to know the road is open, I'll be camping there this weekend so I might make an early morning run up to get the sunrise!

Stunning capture. I love everything about it---the way the light hits the trees in the foreground is amazing.

Awesome shot.

We have friends in Calgary and try and visit them every 18 months or so and Banff and the lakes are always on the list of places to visit. We must have been there 10+ times!

Did you walk round or take the steep rack up the granite hill?

One of mine taken in 2008 so could do with heading back that way soon to retake it now that i have better glass. It was DAMN hot that day, like late 80's (30c)

That is a lovely shot too. We took my 85 year old mother with us and she was doing some drawings from near the shoreline, while my wife and I took the small trail up to the lookout. I'm looking forward to seeing my mom's final drawings and watercolors.

Beautiful shot of an amazing place. Never been, but it's on the list.

It was raining the day we made it down to the town of Banff. This shot at Moraine Lake truely was the best sky we had the first 3 days we were in the area. We then headed up to Jasper and spent some time on seeing the ice field parkway and a little bit more of Jasper. It is looking like my wife and I will head back the last week in September and rent a small RV to spend more time in the park and less time driving. Now just to get ourselves in better shape to do more hiking.
