They actually won't work with some monolights. The work by limiting the current during recycle so a spike in current doesn't occur and trip the inverter. Some strobes can't handle this and will freak out, or just not recycle.

I tried a mini with Genesis lights.
It worked but there was a bit of weirdness.

It doesn't work with any of the bi-voltage monoblocks. Works great with my Elinchrom's and Interfit's.

Both my speedotron Force 10 mono lights and Minicom lights work if you put them in slow recycle mode. If you put it in fast they just fire the strobe in small bursts on the speedotron and just sit freaks out. My bees work fine no problems. going to test it on my Broncolor Grafit A4 power packs and see how it works. I have the batteries and want to see how the little mini holds up to a top of the line 3200w/s pack.

3200ws will bring the VML to its knees.

At best, you'll have time for a beer between shots.

I tried it with 1280ws and it took 7.5 seconds to recycle.

Vagabond mini ...... Operative word "mini" is not designed to power 3200w lights nor does it suggest that it would.

Of course it will be brought to it's knees.
You say it like it's a bad thing.

Surely a power supply that can handle a 3200w strobe would not be the portable power supply you want to lug around for a 350 ab800. It would be like bringing a tank to kill a baby.

What is wrong with products that perform the specific function they are designed for?
I really don't get your point
