MEA707, where did you get that tripod? I looked at amazon and adorama and they don't seem to have the C2680TB1 model

I want one!

The best Benros aren't sold in the US. As I recall he got it from D. Chan on eBay, you can also get it from HolgaCameras. Both of these dealers are reputable and POTN members have had good experiences with them, including me.

I'm very happy with my Gitzo and Arca Swiss Z1.

julian,

A very beautiful set-up.

Have you ever considered something like this for your remote shutter release?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026K25YQ/

I have one and it works well. I feel a bit odd offering a suggestion to such an experienced photographer. I love your work.

Cool gadget. How do you tie it to your tripod. Also, thanks for the kind words.

Julian,

My tripod has a small metal eyelet attached to the base where Giottos hangs a small tool kit and I attached it there. You have that hook under your base and I would think it could hang there.

I see. Thanks for that. I'll have to pick one up.

Long time coming but I was finally able to afford the tripod of my dreams. Purchased the RRS 34L, BH-55 ball head and leveling base. Here is the set up with my Induro GBH2 gimbal head.

Snap indeed! It's nice to see the Arca-Swiss Z1 gaining in popularity. An absolutely fantastic ballhead!

Would you recommend the leveling base with the clamp?

I figure if I am changing heads that it's not something I need to do quickly, but it seems like a nice option.
