So I may be shooting two bands in an outdoor amphitheater. One is the opener and the other is headliner. I've not shot at a venue like this before for 2 bands. How does the logistics work as far as security making you go get into the venue with your gear THEN being allowed to keep it in between bands. What re some of your guys' experiences with this?

Wrong section but.....
Every venue is different so you really wont know until you get there. An even then, sometimes it will change the next show you go to. But they deal with this every show and I am sure they have a plan. At PNC in NJ, photographers aren't required to have tickets so the venue rep escorts you in to the "pit", you shoot 3, then escorts you to a holding area in between sets. At the end of the headliner you can go home or you can check your gear with the security desk and hang out on the lawn.
