Default 1st attempt at Panning

I'm still relatively new to the whole creative side of photography but I had a try at panning while on holiday a few weeks back. Would welcome any advice/criticism!

I like it. It looks like a painting.

I think it's cool. You picked the perfect scene to do a vertical pan with: one with mainly vertical elements.

Thanks! The number of outtakes was considerable as it took ages to work out speed of panning, best composition, and getting a perfect vertical pan!

I really like it. Exif shows 1/640, which seems very fast for panning, but it sure worked!

That's odd as I've just checked the original and its 1/8 on the HDD ?!?!

Edit: Just gone back to the HDD and realised the wrong image was posted on Flickr! Image replaced now!
