About 2 months I bought a circular polarizer 52mm tiffen filter.
Nothing is the same I am out of focus . the pics look like crap. Before I go stomping off in the sunset bent out off shape about how big of P O S this filter is and throwing it away I figue its all my fault because I dont know what I am doing. Nothing new for me. How would I go about finding out if its me or the filter. Farmer!957 |

I don't have a G10 but have used a Tiffen 58mm circular polarizer on a G9, G12 and now G1X. How are you attaching your filter to the G10?
Have you tried simply hand holding the filter close to the lens? What AF setting do you usually use? I suspect the G10 AF is somewhat like the G9. Take a look at this index to my G9 posts that relate to focusing: http://lightdescription.blogspot.com...-g9-posts.html .

Farmer - how close is the camera to the object you are trying to photograph?

Be sure to use the small "Flexizone" frame for precise AF focusing. Also, press the shutter button halfway to confirm that focus has been obtained before completing the press.
