Default Kaiser hot-shoe raisers

once people spoke about using Kaiser hot-shoe raisers to help with certain low magnification diffusion when using the mt ex 24 (i.e. 1-2X)
did that fall by the way side? is anyone still using it?
does B&H or adorama sell it? (can't find it by that name on their sites)

thanks

I use these still on the MP-E and MT24ex combo for all magnifications, still on B&H;

I have two pairs, but in the end it worked out I only needed the one pair for my MT-24 rig.

Bas - why would you need 2 pairs? Dont you need one single unit (maximum) for each flash head of the mt ex 24 (i.e. 2 units) with that said, i can a potential role in having only one head displaced even...thereby creating a more "dramatic" lighting...though i suppose it would be harder to plan if you were in a bug safari mode in your local garden (vs in a more controlled environment).

The theory was that I would have very large diffusers that needed to be a good distance away from the flash heads (allowing the light to spread). The result would have left the diffusers in roughly the same position as ther are now, just above the lens glass.

Just a similar idea to using a larger softbox. The screen is further away from the source.

Hmmmmm.
gotcha. Sounds bulky though, no? It could have interesting results though.
Whenever you get around to experimenting with it, id love to see your progress.
