Camping is:
- Fun
- Convenient
- Fun
- A great way to meet folks
- Fun
- Easier to be "On Call" (if you're Media)
- Fun
- Less expensive than being gouged at area hotels (and we're talking all the way out to Appleton and Green Bay)
- Fun
- Don't have to drink and drive (if you want to indulge in a few post day pops)
- Oh, and it's FUN!

Jay missed it in his list, camping at OSH is a ton of fun!

I can understand how camping can be fun, but for me camping means being pool-side at the Ritz-Carlton. Hey honey-bun, how about another refill?

OH don't forget FUN

I live 5 min away from OSH and still camp every year. There is just something special about being around thousands of people who love the air as much as you.
Lots of drinks, airplanes, and people to share them with...

I also don't have to worry about the parking every day.

I'll be there.

The best part about camping is that you can stay till the very end of the day. Which means you can snap pics of the main attractions once all the crowds have died down. I haven't camped for a few years, but my favorite memory is of roaming the grounds in the evenings.

I will be there, staying at Motel 6 in Oshkosh. Will be a volunteer at Depature Breefing all week.

Make sure to bring a good hat this year. It has been CRAZY hot and sunny up here and it does not look likely to change. Maybe some of you southern folk will be fine but I am not used to this at all.

Are there any limitations on camera gear? I live in Milwaukee and would like to head up on Thursday to shoot. Seems like some neat planes to see.
