Last night i took about 10 pics of the milky way using a 20 second shutter speed at 18mm, but i got the "only one image will be staked" error in deep sky stacker, and also no stars detected. Is 20 secs too long an exposure facing south on a fixed tripod? Or is it that my pics are out of focus, or both? I'll try again tonight with a shorter exposure and try it in DSS to make sure it detects some stars, it stacked on 8 secs before.
Canon 550D 18-55mm fixed tripod. Is this out of focus? ![]()

I can tell it is out of focus. Most of the stars are a bit blurry or fuzzy in my point of view.
