Default Shooting Football Individual Players " Lighting ?"

I am shooting about 30 or so Football players on Saturday.
The time will be about 6PM EST. I was thinking about using an AB 400 with a beauty Dish.
Most likely trees will be in the background and I was going to use the 70 to 200 to blur the background.

I want to get some separation between the players and the background. If I do not have any sun for rim light, would you use a speedlight to get rim light.

Do you think the AB400 would be sufficient ?

Any other recommendations?

I suggest just using on-camera flash ... and use it as fill.

Are you doing full body or head shots? 70-200 is really long for football unless you are doing head and shoulder. I always use a 580 on camera myself for fill

Good point. Guess I'll use the 30 1.4 and fill with a 580 with a trigger

Step back and use that 70-200 for full body. Longer lenses for portraits.

Agree. I saw some very nice shots on FM by a regular using 200mm f2 and AB strobes.
